History of Light

Light in relation to scientific terms, has been very important to our human lives: we could not obtain any visual information without the existence of light filtering through our eyes. Especially as for designers, not being able to see means not being able to eat. To be living in complete darkness means no food for survival.

Light in a poetic way for me, is a guide. Lightening up darkness and allowing us to see what we are surrounded with, and to help to make a decision for the next step.

I was interested in choosing images of light that are specifically used to guide us into the right direction. Light houses allow sailors to sail safely in the ocean and a handy flash light is useful in many cases when we are out camping and need a guide to walk around or when the light bulb is broken and we need to navigate ourselves to the spare light bulb. Airplane emergency light automatically turns on when the airplane is malfunctioning and is in danger. The light guides the passengers to evacuate safely and quickly. Light reflective paint ensures safety of drivers and passengers at night and street lamps sternly stand and allow us to walk safely.
